This 1960 Volvo 544 has a very straight body and a B20 engine that was rebuilt 2000 miles ago according to the seller. It was apparently a daily driver for some time and then recently stored. The two-tone interior looks excellent and the car seems like a great driver for the money. Find it here on Swede Speed in Encinitas, California for only $3900.
The seller does mention some rust below the windows, but it looks to be quite minor based on the photos. The body on this car is clean enough that we wouldn’t want to paint or restore it. Usually these have banged up bumpers and at least a few dings and dents from use. This one seems to have escaped all that. Sort out the suspension and brakes as needed and drive it.
The interior is terrific, and would likely cost a good portion of the asking price to have done. The two tone colors help add some contrast to the stark exterior. We’d lose the steering wheel wrap in favor of a bare wheel if it is in good shape otherwise a black leather cover.
Check out the seller’s Flickr photo album below. This car is photographed too well and too straight to last long at this price.
