The big quattro RS6’s 5.0 litre V10 benefits from a reprogrammed ECU and high-flowing catalysts, bringing power up to 522kW (700hp – the source of the RS700 name) and an even 800kW (590lb-ft) of torque. So what about the on-the-road figures?
Sportec says the RS700 will carve its way to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds, before hitting the final limiter at 310km/h. On the way there, you’ll hit 200km/h in 12 seconds.
While not a standard part of the package, a Sportec high performance exhaust system with four 75mm tail pipes can be optioned.
The Sportec RS700 is set apart visually by a carbon-fibre front lip and rear diffuser, while huge 20-inch rims hold up the corners on suspension lowered by 30mm.
Sportec describes the RS700 as the “Noble Power Limousine.” Perhaps some of that has been lost in translation, but one thing’s for sure – it’s a big car, and it’s bloody powerful. There’s plenty noble about that.
